One of the many fun aspects of creating comics is the opportunity to promote (and hopefully SELL!) your work at conventions and shows. I’ve been fortunate to have been able to exhibit at number of shows, bith here in NYC and across the country. It’s always a fun time, I seen some incredible work, and met some wonderful people along the way.
SPX (The Small Press Expo) – Bethesda, MD – Sep 2014
My first time exhibiting at the Small Press Expo (aka SPX). Shared a table with buddy Tony Breed (of ‘Finn & Charlie are Hitched’ fame among others). Mine was a fairly bare bones display, as I was still getting the hang of doing shows.

BENT CON – Burbank, CA – Nov 2014
Crossed the country from NYC to Los Angeles (okay, Burbank) to exhibit at Bent Con. Had a great time and met some wonderful comic creators.
HAVEN CON – Austin TX – Apr 2015
When I made the decision to begin exhibiting at comic show I didn’t anticipate doing so much traveling. Maryland, California, and now Texas. It was fun, but I think I need to stay closer to home for awhile.
RAINBOW BOOK FAIR – New York, NY – Apr 2015
When my hockey buddy Jeff Adams asked if I’d like to share his table at NYC’s Rainbow Book Fair, how could I say no? We were quickly dubbed “the gay sports guys”. It works. Jeff and his husband Will host a podcast about gay literary fiction. It’s great stuff. You can find Jeff and Will at jeffandwill.com.

FLAME CON – Brooklyn, NY – Jun 2015
Brooklyn’s Grand Prospect Hall makes for a wonderful show experience. The place is beautiful, and huge. Gave the show a nice, warm, dare I say grand feeling. I think this was largest table set-up I’d ever had.

TOPATOCON – Easthampton, MA – Sep 2015
Headed north for the inaugural Topatocon in Easthampton, MA. (Yes, ‘m traveling again). I was was set up outside the main ballroom, along with several other folks, but a good time was still had. I even got to meet some of my comic heroes.
NEW YORK COMIC CON – New York, NY – Oct 2015
When Tim Fish offered me the opportuntiy to share his table at New York Comic Con’s Artist Alley, I jumped at the chance. Had a great time hanging out with Tim and Monica. I learned A LOT. Great folks, both of ’em.

MoCCA – New York, NY – Apr 2016
Another bucket-list show went in the books when I exhibited at the MoCCA (Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art) Arts Festival. It’s always an outstanding show and I was honored to have been able to exhibit.

NEW YORK COMIC CON – New York, NY – Oct 2016
It was an honor to be invited to spend some time exhibiting at the Geeks Out booth at New York Comic Con. There’s some great artist’s names on that schedule.

SPX (The Small Press Expo) – Bethesda, MD – Sep 2017
It’s not easy creating comics, and traveling to exhibit them. Fortunately I have the best support system with my husband Tim. He’s the one who makes sure I’m ready come showtime and haven’t forgotten anything. He’s not with me every show, but its always fun when he’s there.

FLAME CON – New York, NY – Aug 2018
Flame Con remains a fun show to exhibit at and an even more fun to browse the other tables. Lots of great art being done by some swell artists.

MoCCA – New York, NY – Mar 2019
My return to MoCCA was… interesting, to say the least. My table-mate (Mike something…?) was an illustrator with an … interesting marketing style. One of the untold hazards of the Half-Table. Maybe this is why I stopped exhibiting.

NYC QUEER COMIC FAIR – New York, NY – Jun 2023
Four years after the “Crap” show (as I’ve come to call it), I signed up for the Queer Comic Fair at New York City’s LGBT Community Center. It was a solid show with artists making the most of a VERY small space. I scored a corner spot and a window!
Real life interrupted Casey comics for a while, resulting in only two comics being produced over the next two years (the 2021 Christmas comic and the 300th Anniversary comic in late 2022). Still, I decided to show at the QCF in an effort to get me drawing again. I met some fine folks (Greg Lockard ‘Liebestrasse’ and Salvatore Marrone ‘No More Mermaids’), oddly taking no pictures (sorry), picked up some swell books, and … didn’t draw another comic for a year and a half.
