Writer: Tom King / Art: Mark Wagner, Tony S. Daniel, Mark Buckingham & Andrew Popoy / Colors: Tomeu Morey
Having picked up Nightwing 50 & 51, I felt the need to see what happened in Batman 55. One thing led to another and four books later I was blown away by Tom King’s compelling, and humorous writing as well as Matt Wagner & Tony Daniel’s art. Issue 54 (The Better Man) was so much fun, with silly villains & Batman laughing (who knew Nightwing was so funny?) Issues 55 thru 57 (Beasts of Burden) were intensely riveting and beautifully executed. I loved these books! Excuse me while I step out to pick up (more) back issues.
